Student Question Answered

This is a question a student emailed about how to help her daughter speak to her teacher, and an answer I was inspired to offer. May it help many other people as well!

Hello!

I have a sweet ten year old 5th grade girl who is terrified of her teacher because she yells. I practice not yelling at my family. It would seem that somehow I have to condition her to deal with adults who choose to yell and use scare tactics to keep them in fear, perhaps to control the classroom. I pray for her peace, tell her to repeat love, love, love in her mind when the teacher yells and I blast the teacher with love. I am new in this self development journey. How do I help my child?

Oh, Dear Student! Thank you so much for writing! It is so enlightened of you to “see” that your daughter’s fear is a call for love. Beautiful!

Please watch my webinar (elective class) The Art of Communication. It will help YOU know what to do, then the spirit will adapt it, in your own awareness, so you can teach your daughter EXACT “I FEEL” phrases to say when her teachers resorts to yelling (violent communication.)

Here, however, are a few “emergency empowerments”: for you to train her to say:
1. “I feel afraid when you yell.” See how that is not disrespectful to the teacher in any way whatsoever?
2. “My ears work best when the sound of your voice is like mine.”
3. “I want to do what you want me to do, but I can’t hear you when the sound is loud.”

Any version of the above empowering statements from the Self perspective (NO “YOU” language!) will teach your daughter how to lovingly speak up for herself her whole entire life! What a great lesson to get to learn at such a young age!

I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. I’m sorry. I love you. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.
