Emotional Freedom Technique (E.F.T.): The “Tapping Cure” for Negative Feelings

There are many methods for neutralizing the negativity that can build up inside ourselves. This one dissipates negative emotions that congeal at the neurovascular stress points along the various meridians.
Don’t forget to breathe in between each! In through the nose, out through the mouth, between each set.

1. Karate Chop point across your palms. Switch hands; Do both hands.
Say the whole phrase, “Even though I feel afraid to invest money in myself, I completely love, forgive, and accept myself.” OR whatever the problem is… “Even though I feel afraid to speak to groups of people, I completely love, etc.……..”

2. With your dominate hand, tap on the top of your crown; The top of your head.
Now, shorten and say only the subject then the verbs. “ Afraid, Love, Forgive, Accept.” Say it 3 times. Your short version CAN BE a phrase, like , “hate myself for being fat, love, forgive, accept.”
OR, “Feel betrayed, love, forgive, accept.”

3. Inside of the eyebrows, where they meet the bridge of your nose. 3X

4. Outside of the eyebrows. 3X

5. Underneath your lower eyelids. Look up slightly. 3X

6. On top of your cheekbones. 3X (Both hands!)

7. On top of your upper lip. 3X
Don’t forget to breathe!
8. Underneath your lower lip. 3X

9. K-27s; Where your collar bones meet your sternum, at those bones bumps that stick out; Just below this, where it sinks in a little bit. 3X

10. The middle of your sternum; Your breastplate. 3X

11. Use you right hand, and tap underneath your left armpit, in a line across from your nipple.

12. Then, switch sides. (other arm pit!) Say the whole phrase 3X

13. Top of head again. Say whole phrase, as in number one. Say the whole phrase 3 times, to anchor the change.

14. Pinch the fatty pad in the “web” of your hand, between your thumb and index finger. Do this on both sides. Say the whole phrase as in number one. Say whole phrase, as in number one. Say the whole phrase 3 times, to anchor the change.

Conclude with a deep breath in, and on the exhale say, “Thank you Thank You Thank You!”
