Get Rich Quick!

From what I can determine, get-rich-schemes have been around for quite a while. It appears many want to get rich with little effort and with little money. Google the word get-rich and you will have over 7 million options available to you. They all guarantee you that if applied to, you can become wealthy. However, are they schemes to good to be true or is there a possibility that one of them will increase your chances of getting rich.
Let’s start with a get-rich-quick scheme is. When a institution of source claims you can acquire a high rate of return for a small investment or a high rate of return with very little risk, we could potentially be heading down the slippery slope to a get-rich-quick scheme. Get rich schemes advertise with a promise that very little skill, time, or effort is required. Often a get rich quick scheme guarantees wealth simply by working at home.
Late night infomercial advertising, target market magazines and newspapers could be the source. Additional schemes could originate from advertising on the internet through spam or cold calling; further, seminars that boast claims of little or nothing down that result in high profits. In other words, schemes could be anywhere and from any company.
While there might some legitimate ways to gain wealth quickly, for most it is not appropriate. For most it would be better that they approach wealth building the old fashion way with traditional investment strategies; live within your means, save your monthly dollars by paying yourself first, build a good cash reserve, invest in sound, tried and tested investments for retirement, and then if you have dollars left after all this, then venture into the other investment options.
As you may be aware, there are companies that feast on the weary investor, ill informed about how money works. Driven by the desire to become rich quick, whether it is media drive, greed, or keeping up with the Jones, they become prey to unscrupulous vendors. They sign-up with the companies gambling that they are the miracle facilitators of financial independence only to discover later that they are ripped off once again. Again, while there may be some legitimate methods of gaining wealth quickly, a get rich scheme is just that a scheme.
The truth is, these scheming companies tend to make more money from the content of the envelopes and the contracts signed by the gullible than the victim makes stuffing envelopes at home. Becoming a victim of a get rich scheme is really not as difficult. Some are so determined to accumulate wealth fast that they will put logic aside only with a whim and a prayer. The idea of instant wealth with minimal effort is very appealing. Instant gratification has been engrained into us because we see others experiencing the benefits of life and we want it now. Just look at gambling for example.
The last and most vital element of a get rich scheme is the word scheme. Don’t get schemed by don’t going there in the first place.
