- Homepage; all websites should have a solid homepage describing what the purpose of the website is (this can be done visually) and directing your visitor to the next page(s) you want them to visit.
- About Us page; this is an important page to build the perceived value of what you and your business offer. Fraud is a significant concern for online shoppers and a well-built about us page can overcome this concern.
- Contact Us page; include, at a minimum, two forms of contact info so your visitors have multiple ways to contact you. I always recommend a phone number and email.
- Policies page; clearly outline your policies here so visitors understand what they are getting into when doing business with you. Include, if applicable, a policy defining; shipping and handling, returns and cancellations, and privacy.
- Catalog; for a retail business a well organized product catalog helps your visitor find what they are looking for quickly and easily.
- Quote page; for a service business pricing and quotes are things your visitor wants access to immediately so they can decide if calling you is worth their time.
- Online checkout; when visitors search you out online they are looking to purchase online as well. Provide them a method of online payment even if it’s as plain as telling them where to send a check.
